USA Design, Repair, and Manufacturing Center (DRMC) is an award-winning provider of engineering, manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services. This facility was established in 1985 to provide Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and depot-level support to the Space Shuttle Orbiter fleet and ISS hardware. ISO9001/AS9100, and ISO14001 certified, the DRMC was also the first OSHA VPP STAR-certified workplace in central Florida.

The DRMC consolidates depot-level support for multiple product lines into one facility to reduce the overall cost of operation. By consolidating an extensive range of technical resources under one roof, we can provide a quick, cost-effective solution to your priority needs. Our ability to quickly assemble teams of engineers, certified technicians and machinists has proven invaluable in providing the highest quality products in response to our customers' schedule and project requirements.

We perform unique manufacturing and repair tasks to support program and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements, providing you with best-value services.

Avionics
United Space Alliance provides manufacturing, repair, modification and overhaul of a wide variety of avionics/electronics system components. Our services include circuit analysis, programmable automated testing, vibration testing, soldering rework, environmental testing and antenna testing. Typical hardware includes communication and tracking equipment, command and control systems, data control systems, guidance and navigation, cockpit instrumentation and electronic ground support equipment.

Mechanical
USA repairs, modifies, overhauls, performs preventive maintenance and final acceptance testing of a wide variety of structures, mechanisms and fluid subsystem components. These include hydraulic systems, electromechanical actuators, gas control systems, valves and regulators, quick disconnects and main propulsion hardware.

Reverse Engineering
Our highly skilled team team are experts in the field of reverse engineering to support your goals of reducing costs and lead times. We acquired this expertise by maintaining a 30-plus-year-old spacecraft and ground support infrastructure. USA's Design, Repair and Manufacturing Center (DRMC) successfully overcomes parts obsolescence, Diminishing, Manufacturing Sources, and Material Supply (DMSMS) issues, high costs and extended delivery schedules. The USA DRMC won a position on the Defense Logistics Agency Value Engineering Sustainment Support Tool (VESST) team, providing reverse engineering support to DLA Aviation.

Manufacturing
United Space Alliance provides manufacture machining services supported by state-of-the-art CATIA V5 CAD/CAE systems on dedicated Sun Workstations using CNC mills and lathes, Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), CAM Engineering/NC Programming, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programming of 3, 4, and 5-axis parts and tool design.

Our expertise stems from successfully manufacturing components for the ISS, Space Shuttle, Department of Defense and commercial applications. Types of hardware include armament components, flight structures and brackets, satellite structural components and instrumentation, and ground support equipment.

Quality Assurance/Non-Destructive Evaluation
United Space Alliance employs a multitude of inspection techniques, including dimensional inspection using coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, standard gauges and micrometers. Visual inspection methods include noncontact video coordinate measuring machines, borescopes and microscopes. We perform process verifications for crimping, torquing, bonding and soldering on numerous types of hardware. Our Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) employs liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiographic, ultrasonic and eddy current testing methods for your quality assurance requirements.

Materials and Processes
United Space Alliance provides materials science and engineering support to NASA, DoD and industry for the design, development and implementation of materials and processes used toproduce aerospace hardware. Our Materials & Process (M&P) organization determines the failure mode of materials, manufacturing processes and systems, and identifies the root cause. The complexity of these analyses and evaluations vary from simple chemical composition verification to the full range of physical, mechanical and chemical testing. M&P's modern, in-house forensic laboratories are used to conduct forensic testing or solve Diminishing, Manufacturing Sources and Material Supply (DMSMS) issues. Other types of material analysis M&P performs include corrosion and coating issues, material chemical fingerprinting and the development of new, environmentally compliant materials.
