Six Sigma and Lean methods are widely used by industry and have well-documented benefits. United Space Alliance hosts robust, enterprise-wide L6S capability training and certifies belts internally at the Master Black, Black and Green Belt levels. We also conduct specialty training in Design for Lean Six Sigma (DFLSS). Employees with these certification Belts have demonstrated expertise applying the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) improvement methodology, DFLSS principles and L6S statistical and modeling tools at the appropriate level to solve problems in a cost-efficient manner. They are experienced with the latest industry tools and software, including Minitab (statistical analysis), Pro Model (discrete event simulation), Crystal Ball (Monte Carlo analysis) and Expert Choice (Analytical Hierarchy Process).

Our Belt team has applied L6S techniques to redesign equipment, improve software development, and streamline processing and manufacturing activities. Additionally, they have provided plant/lab/facilities layout analysis and design recommendations, along with extensive value-stream mapping, to support planning and design of newly manufactured facilities.

United Space Alliance has completed hundreds of DMAIC projects, technical assists and Kaizen improvement events to solve problems. We also use DFLSS tools for total process redesigns.
